Synopsis – What to Expect from “Canadian Bacon”
Canadian Bacon is a satirical comedy written, produced and directed by Michael Moore. The movie takes place in an alternate version of the United States in which the Cold War is still ongoing.
The movie follows a small-town sheriff, Bud Boomer (John Candy), who is struggling to keep his town afloat and keep the locals from getting bored. The President and his team create a propaganda campaign to convince the American people that Canada is a threat. They create a fake Canadian terrorist group and start a false rumor that Canada is planning to launch a nuclear attack on the United States. The campaign is successful and the people of the United States start to fear a Canadian invasion.
In the meantime, Bud Boomer’s plan to bring business to his town is successful and the locals are starting to make money again. But the President and his team start to have second thoughts about their plan and they decide to call off the false flag operation.
The President and his team decide to stage a peace summit between the United States and Canada in order to put an end to the conflict. However, Bud Boomer has
