Synopsis – What to Expect from “Cadillac Man”
Cadillac Man is a 1990 comedy-drama starring Robin Williams and Tim Robbins.
The movie follows Joey O’Brien (Williams), an ambitious but down-on-his-luck used car salesman in New Jersey. After a string of bad luck, Joey finds himself in a desperate situation when an armed robber named Larry (Robbins) takes him and his co-workers hostage in the dealership. With the police surrounding the building, Joey must use his wits to try and talk Larry down and find a way out of the situation.
Meanwhile, Joey’s wife, Jan (Pamela Reed), is trying to keep things together at home, while his daughter, Lisa (Annabella Sciorra), is struggling with her own teenage problems.
As the tension mounts inside the dealership, Joey must find a way to defuse the situation and get everyone out alive. With the help of his family and co-workers, he must use his salesmanship skills to talk Larry into releasing them.
The movie follows Joey as he navigates his way through this tense situation, and ultimately finds a way to get everyone out alive, while also learning some important lessons about life and family along the way.
