Bully is a powerful and heartbreaking drama based on true events, released in 2011. It follows the story of Alex, a young teenager from Oklahoma, as he struggles to cope with the daily torment of his schoolmates.
The movie opens with Alex and his family at school, where he is being harassed and bullied by his peers. Alex’s parents are unaware of the severity of the situation, and Alex is too embarrassed to tell them. As the bullying continues, Alex’s grades begin to suffer and he starts to become increasingly isolated.
One day, Alex snaps and retaliates against his bullies, leading to a violent altercation. Alex is arrested and his parents are called to the school. His parents are horrified to learn of the extent of the bullying Alex has been subjected to and they decide to take legal action against the school.
The movie follows Alex and his family as they fight to bring justice to the school and its administrators. Alex’s story is one of courage and resilience, as he struggles to overcome the trauma of bullying and reclaim his life. Along the way, he discovers strength in himself and in his family, and learns to stand up for himself and others.
