Synopsis/Plot
Brothers by Blood is a 2020 drama film directed by Jérémie Guez. It follows two estranged brothers, Peter and Michael, who are brought together after their father’s death.
The film opens with Peter, a former criminal living in Philadelphia, learning of his father’s death. He returns to his hometown of New Orleans to attend the funeral. There, he reunites with his brother Michael, a successful businessman. Despite their differences, the two brothers must find a way to work together in order to save their father’s failing fishing business.
As the brothers struggle to save the business, they are met with obstacles from all sides. They must confront their own personal demons, as well as the corrupt local business owners who are out to take advantage of them. The brothers must also grapple with their own strained relationship, as they confront their past and try to move forward.
