Synopsis/Plot
Bride Wars is a romantic comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson as two best friends who have been dreaming of the perfect wedding since they were little girls. When they both get engaged at the same time, their lifelong dream seems to be coming true. But when a clerical error causes their dream weddings to be scheduled on the same day, their friendship is put to the ultimate test.
The two women, Liv (Hudson) and Emma (Hathaway), become bitter rivals as they battle it out to have the best wedding and win the title of ‘Bride of the Year’. They each hire the same wedding planner, Marion St. Claire (Candice Bergen), and try to outdo each other with bigger and better wedding plans. They go to extreme lengths to sabotage each other’s weddings, from switching dresses to trying to sabotage the honeymoon.
As the wedding day approaches, the two women realize the importance of their friendship and must decide if their friendship is worth more than the perfect wedding. Will they be able to put their differences aside and come together as friends, or will the ‘Bride Wars’ tear them apart?
