Breath is a 2017 Australian drama film directed by Simon Baker and starring Elizabeth Debicki, Samson Coulter, Ben Spence, Rachael Blake, and Simon Baker.
The movie follows two teenage boys, Pikelet (Samson Coulter) and Loonie (Ben Spence), living in a small coastal town in Western Australia. Both boys are passionate about surfing and spend all their free time catching waves. They are also very close friends, and their bond is tested when they meet the mysterious and enigmatic Eva (Elizabeth Debicki). Eva is a free-spirited drifter who has just moved to the area, and she quickly captivates the two boys with her wild spirit.
Pikelet and Loonie are both drawn to Eva and her wild lifestyle, and they become increasingly involved in her reckless behavior. At the same time, they begin to drift apart from each other, as Pikelet is more drawn to Eva’s lifestyle and Loonie struggles to keep up. As their friendship is tested, the boys must also face their own inner demons and come to terms with their own pasts.
The film follows the boys as they face the consequences of their choices and learn to accept life’s ups and downs. Along the way, they discover the power of friendship, the importance of family, and the beauty of living in the moment.
