Synopsis/Plot
Blue Velvet is a 1986 American psychological thriller film written and directed by David Lynch. Set in the fictional town of Lumberton, North Carolina, the film stars Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, and Laura Dern.
The film follows college student Jeffrey Beaumont (MacLachlan), who discovers a severed human ear in a field. After bringing it to the police, Jeffrey decides to investigate the mystery himself. He meets the mysterious and beautiful nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens (Rossellini), who is being blackmailed by a gangster named Frank Booth (Hopper). Jeffrey finds himself drawn into a dark and disturbing underworld of violence, depravity, and secrets.
