Synopsis – What to Expect from “Blow Dry”
Blow Dry is a 2001 British comedy-drama film directed by Paddy Breathnach. The film follows the story of two rival hairdressers, Phil and Brian Allen (Alan Rickman and Natasha Richardson), who are forced to work together in order to win a national hairdressing competition.
The film follows the two hairdressers as they prepare for the competition. Phil and Brian are both talented and experienced hairdressers, but their rivalry has been the source of tension between them for years. As they prepare for the competition, they must learn to work together and find a way to put their differences aside.
Meanwhile, Phil’s son, Lee (Josh Hartnett), is struggling to find his place in the world. He’s been in and out of trouble, and his father is determined to help him find a better path. Lee meets an old flame, Shelley (Rachel Leigh Cook), and the two of them become close.
As the competition nears, Phil and Brian must find a way to work together and create a winning style. At the same time, Lee and Shelley must find a way to stay together despite their differences. In the end, Phil and Brian manage to find common ground and create a unique style that wins the competition. Lee and Shelley also find a way to stay together, and the film ends with the two of them happily in love.
