Synopsis/Plot
BloodRayne is a 2005 action/horror film that follows the story of Rayne, a half-human, half-vampire dhampir. In the 18th century, Rayne is on a mission to avenge her mother’s death and to destroy her vampire father, Kagan. Rayne is recruited by the Brimstone Society, a secret society dedicated to hunting and killing supernatural creatures. With the help of her mentor, Vladimir, Rayne sets out to find and kill Kagan and his vampire army.
As Rayne embarks on her mission, she discovers that Kagan is planning to use an ancient artifact known as the “Bloodstone” to unleash a deadly plague upon the world. Rayne must battle her way through hordes of vampires, zombies, and other monsters in order to stop Kagan from achieving his goal. Along the way, she discovers secrets about her past and learns to control her newfound vampire powers.
The film stars Kristanna Loken as Rayne, Ben Kingsley as Kagan, Michelle Rodriguez as Katarin, and Michael Madsen as Vladimir. It was directed by Uwe Boll and produced by Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer.
