Synopsis – What to Expect from “Blood and Wine”
Blood and Wine is a crime drama that follows the story of Alex Gates (Jack Nicholson), an aging jewel thief who is struggling to make ends meet. He decides to take one last job, a daring heist of a valuable necklace from a wealthy Miami socialite.
Alex teams up with his young protégé, Stephen (Stephen Dorff) and the two devise an elaborate plan to steal the necklace. They enlist the help of a local fence, Vincent (Michael Caine), who provides them with the necessary tools and advice.
The heist goes off without a hitch, but Alex soon discovers that the necklace is actually a fake, and the real one is being held by a mysterious crime lord, known only as “The Greek.” Alex and Stephen set out to find the Greek and get the real necklace, but the search leads them into a dangerous underworld of crime and violence.
The two men soon discover that the Greek is actually an old enemy of Alex’s, and the two of them must face off in a deadly game of cat and mouse. As the situation spirals out of control, Alex and Stephen must confront their own inner demons as they fight for their lives.
