Synopsis – What to Expect from “Blink”
Blink is a 1993 thriller directed by Michael Apted. It tells the story of Emma Brody (Madeleine Stowe), a young blind woman who discovers that her sight has been restored. After a night of celebration, Emma wakes up to find that her sight has been restored, but something else has changed. She is now able to see people’s auras, and she is able to see into the future.
Emma’s newfound ability leads her to the mysterious Dr. Morse (Alfred Molina), who is researching a project that involves using auras to predict future events. Emma is enlisted to help with the project, and soon discovers that the doctor’s research is more dangerous than she had imagined.
Meanwhile, Emma’s life is further complicated by the reappearance of her old boyfriend, John (Lance Henriksen). John is a former convict who is being hunted by a ruthless assassin, and Emma’s newfound ability puts her in danger.
As Emma’s life is further thrown into chaos, she must use her newfound abilities to save herself and her loved ones from the assassin. With the help of her friends, she must unravel the secrets of the project and discover the truth about her own past. In the end, Emma must make a difficult decision that will determine the fate of her and those she loves.
