Synopsis – What to Expect from “Blankman”
Blankman is a 1994 action-comedy starring Damon Wayans as Darryl Walker, a nerdy inventor who creates a superhero identity for himself in order to fight crime in his hometown of Metro City.
Darryl is a socially awkward genius who has been working on a series of inventions in his basement workshop. After his brother Kevin (David Alan Grier) is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit, Darryl is inspired to create a superhero persona for himself in order to help Kevin and to fight crime in his city. He creates a suit and mask out of household items and dubs himself “Blankman”.
With the help of his friend, the street-smart Kadeem Hardison, Blankman sets out to clear Kevin’s name and to take down the criminal mastermind behind the crime. He soon discovers that the mastermind is none other than his own father, J-Man (Jon Polito), who is the leader of a powerful criminal organization.
Blankman must use all his wits and gadgets to take down his father’s criminal empire and save Metro City. Along the way, Blankman learns to become a hero and finds love with the beautiful Kimberly Jonz (Robin Givens).
In the end, Blankman defeats his father and the criminal organization and Metro City is saved. Blankman is hailed as a hero and he and Kimberly live happily ever after.
