Synopsis/Plot
Blades of Glory is a 2007 American sports comedy film directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck and starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder. The film follows the story of two rival figure skaters, Chazz Michael Michaels (Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Heder), who are banned from the sport after a duel on the ice. However, they find a loophole that allows them to compete in pairs skating. With the help of their coach (Craig T. Nelson), the pair must overcome their differences and learn to work together if they want to win the championship.
The film is filled with over-the-top comedy and outrageous stunts, as Chazz and Jimmy battle against the odds to become the first male/male pairs skating champions. Along the way, they must deal with the scheming of their rivals, the derision of the press, and the struggles of their own relationship. As the competition heats up, they find themselves facing off against the reigning champions, the brother/sister team of Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg (Will Arnett and Amy Poehler).
