Synopsis – What to Expect from “Black Moon”
Black Moon is a surrealist drama directed by Louis Malle and released in 1975. It tells the story of a young girl who is caught in the middle of a war between two factions of adults.
The story begins with a young girl named Lily, who is living in a post-apocalyptic world. She is living with her father and her younger brother, who is mute. One day, while playing in the woods, she discovers a mysterious black moon in the sky. She soon discovers that the moon is actually a portal to another world.
When Lily enters the portal, she finds herself in a strange realm populated by adults who are at war with each other. One faction is led by a man named Theos, who wants to use the power of the black moon to create a new world order. The other faction is led by a woman named Clio, who wants to use the power of the black moon to restore the world to its former glory.
Lily soon discovers that she is the only one who can decide which faction will prevail. As she is drawn into the conflict, she must make difficult choices and face the consequences of her actions.
The story culminates in a thrilling climax as Lily must make a decision that will determine the fate of the world. In the end, Lily must decide whether to accept the new world order or to restore the world to its former glory.
