Synopsis/Plot
Bird on a Wire is a 1990 romantic comedy film starring Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn. The film follows the story of Rick Jarmin, a former Vietnam War draft dodger who is living a peaceful life in Canada. When Rick’s former lover, Marianne Graves, discovers his whereabouts, she informs the FBI of his location. With the FBI on his tail, Rick is forced to go on the run, enlisting the help of an old flame, Gloria, to help him evade capture.
As Rick and Gloria make their way across the country, they encounter a variety of characters, including a biker gang, a corrupt sheriff, and an old friend from Rick’s past. Along the way, Rick and Gloria’s relationship grows, as does the danger they face. As the FBI closes in, Rick and Gloria must fight for their lives and their freedom.
