Synopsis – What to Expect from “Big Bully”
Big Bully is a 1996 comedy film starring Rick Moranis and Tom Arnold. The story follows Dave, an awkward and shy writer, who is hired to be the teacher’s assistant at his old elementary school. His former bully, the intimidating and loud-mouthed bully, Bobby, is now the janitor.
Dave is determined to prove to Bobby that he is no longer the meek and timid boy he used to be. He decides to challenge Bobby to a series of physical and mental challenges in order to prove himself. He also attempts to help Bobby open up to his estranged son, who he hasn’t seen in years.
Throughout the course of the movie, Dave and Bobby slowly become friends. Dave learns to stand up for himself and Bobby learns to open up. They both learn the importance of friendship and family. In the end, they both realize that they have more in common than they thought.
