Synopsis – What to Expect from “Beyond Skyline”
Beyond Skyline is a 2017 science fiction action film directed by Liam O’Donnell and starring Frank Grillo, Bojana Novakovic, Iko Uwais, Callan Mulvey, Antonio Fargas, and Yayan Ruhian.
The movie begins in Los Angeles, where detective Mark Corley (Frank Grillo) is trying to save his son Trent (Jonny Weston) from a life of crime. When Trent is arrested and taken away by an alien spacecraft, Mark follows him into space to save him.
Meanwhile, on the alien planet, Trent and other abducted humans are being experimented on by a race of aliens known as the ‘Skylords’. The Skylords are harvesting human organs and using them to power their own technology.
Mark teams up with a group of survivors from the alien planet, including a former soldier named Sua (Iko Uwais), a doctor named Audrey (Bojana Novakovic), and a streetwise hustler named Kincaid (Callan Mulvey). Together, they fight against the Skylords and their robotic drones in an effort to free the humans and escape the planet.
The group eventually discovers that the Skylords are harvesting organs to create a new species of super-soldiers. With the help of a mysterious alien being, they devise a plan to use the Skylords’ technology against them and take back control of the planet.
