Synopsis – What to Expect from “Below”
Below is a psychological horror movie released in 2002, directed by David Twohy. It follows a group of US Navy submarine crew members on a routine mission in the North Atlantic.
The crew is made up of Lieutenant Brice (Bruce Greenwood), the captain; Lieutenant Bunny (Olivia Williams), the executive officer; and the rest of the crew, including Chief Jones (Scott Foley), Ensign O’Neil (Matthew Davis), and Seaman Teague (Holt McCallany).
The mission is to investigate a mysterious sound that has been detected deep in the ocean. As they begin their mission, the crew discovers that the sound is coming from an abandoned German U-boat from World War II. They also discover that the U-boat is haunted by a supernatural force.
The crew is forced to confront their fears and fight for their lives as they attempt to find out what is happening and why. As they descend deeper into the depths of the ocean, they soon realize that the U-boat is connected to a much larger and more sinister plot.
