Synopsis – What to Expect from “Bell, Book and Candle”
Bell, Book and Candle is a romantic comedy released in 1958 starring James Stewart and Kim Novak.
The movie follows the story of Gillian Holroyd (Kim Novak), a modern-day witch living in New York City. She runs an antique shop and is a member of an exclusive witches’ society. When she meets her new neighbor, Shep Henderson (James Stewart), she falls in love with him and decides to use her magic to make him fall in love with her.
However, her plan backfires when Shep discovers what she has done and confronts her. Realizing that she has gone too far, Gillian decides to break the spell and allow Shep to make his own choice. In the end, Shep chooses to stay with her and the two of them live happily ever after.
