Synopsis/Plot
Beethoven’s Big Break is a 2008 family comedy film directed by Mike Elliott and starring Jonathan Silverman, Jennifer Finnigan, and Moises Arias. The film follows the story of the beloved St. Bernard, Beethoven, who is taken to Hollywood to star in a movie.
When Beethoven’s beloved family is in financial difficulty, the family’s father, Richard Newton (Jonathan Silverman), is desperate to find a way to make some money. He takes a job as a dog wrangler for a movie, and brings Beethoven along. Beethoven is quickly discovered by the movie’s director, who is looking for a canine star. Beethoven is put through his paces and quickly becomes a star, but the fame and fortune goes to his head.
Beethoven becomes a spoiled celebrity, and Richard must work hard to keep him in line. Meanwhile, a group of animal rights activists are determined to free all the animals used in the movie, including Beethoven. Richard must keep Beethoven safe and out of trouble while trying to keep the movie on track.
