Synopsis – What to Expect from “Beethoven’s 5th”
Beethoven’s 5th is a 2003 family comedy film directed by David M. Evans. It is a remake of the 1993 film Beethoven, and stars Judge Reinhold, Daveigh Chase, and Mike Epps in the lead roles.
The story follows the Newton family, who are struggling to make ends meet. To make matters worse, their beloved St. Bernard, Beethoven, has been kidnapped by a greedy animal testing lab. With the help of their neighbor, Mr. Hinkle, the Newtons must rescue Beethoven and save him from a cruel fate.
The Newton family, led by father George (Judge Reinhold), must first locate Beethoven, and enlist the help of animal rescue expert, Ted (Mike Epps). Ted helps the family track down the animal testing lab, and they soon discover that Beethoven is being held captive there.
The family then formulates a plan to rescue Beethoven and enlist the help of Mr. Hinkle, who provides them with a distraction. The plan is a success, and Beethoven is rescued. However, the animal testing lab is determined to get Beethoven back, and they enlist the help of a ruthless animal collector, the Collector (Daveigh Chase).
The Collector is relentless in her pursuit of Beethoven, and the Newton family must find a way to keep him safe. They enlist the help of Ted, who devises a plan
