Meanwhile, the scientist responsible for the mutation of the bats, Dr. Alexander McCabe (Bob Gunton), is determined to find a way to control the bats and use them for his own nefarious purposes.
With the help of Dr. Casper, Sheriff Kimsey discovers that the bats are attracted to sound and light. He hatches a plan to lure the bats away from the town with loud noises and bright lights.
The plan works and the bats are driven away from the town. However, Dr. McCabe is still determined to use the bats for his own purposes and is still out there somewhere.
