Synopsis – What to Expect from “Basket Case 2”
Basket Case 2 is a 1990 horror-comedy film directed by Frank Henenlotter. It is the sequel to the 1982 cult classic Basket Case.
The movie begins with Duane Bradley (Kevin Van Hentenryck) and his conjoined twin brother Belial (also played by Van Hentenryck) living a peaceful life in a rural farmhouse. However, their newfound peace is soon disrupted when their old enemies, the Doctors of the Maury Ballstein Institute, come looking for them.
The Doctors are intent on taking Belial away to be studied and experimented on. Duane and Belial go on the run, with the help of their new friend, the beautiful Grace (Annie Ross). Together, they set out to find a safe place for Belial to live, free from the Doctors’ clutches.
Meanwhile, the Doctors enlist the help of a shady private investigator, Hal B. Wallis (John Zacherle), to track down and capture Belial. Wallis is also determined to find the mysterious “Basket Case” – a creature that is rumored to have been created from the remains of Duane and Belial’s parents.
As Duane, Belial, and Grace flee from the Doctors and Wallis, they stumble upon a secret underground society of conjoined twins called the “Brotherhood”. This strange new world becomes their refuge, and Duane finds himself falling in love
