Synopsis/Plot
Barbie: The Pearl Princess is a 2014 animated musical fantasy film directed by Zeke Norton and produced by Mattel Entertainment. It is the twenty-seventh installment in the Barbie film series, and stars Kelly Sheridan as the voice of the titular character.
The story follows the adventures of Merliah Summers, a teenage surfer who discovers she is a magical mermaid princess. When an evil mermaid named Laverna threatens to take over the underwater kingdom of Oceana, Merliah must use her newfound magical abilities to save the kingdom and its people. Along the way, she is aided by her dolphin friend Zuma, a mermaid named Kuda, and a human prince named Eron.
Barbie: The Pearl Princess features a soundtrack of upbeat pop and rock songs, as well as original music composed by Arnie Roth. The film features stunning animation and visuals, as well as exciting action sequences.
