Synopsis/Plot
Barbie in ‘A Christmas Carol’ is a 2008 direct-to-video computer-animated film and the third entry in the Barbie film series. It is based on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol and stars the voice of Kelly Sheridan as the Barbie protagonist, Eden Starling.
The film follows Eden Starling, the lead singer of a popular singing group, as she prepares for her Christmas concert. Unfortunately, her plans are ruined when her manager, Ms. Manners, informs her that the show has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. To make matters worse, the greedy theater owner, Mr. Drosselmeyer, has decided to raise the rent on Eden’s theater.
Desperate to make ends meet, Eden decides to take a job as a nanny for a young girl named Catherine. But when Catherine’s grandfather, Mr. Cringle, reveals that he is actually the ghost of Christmas past, Eden finds herself on a magical journey through time to learn the true meaning of Christmas.
