Synopsis – What to Expect from “Bandolero!”
Bandolero! is a classic Western movie set in the late 1800s, starring James Stewart and Dean Martin. The story follows two brothers, Mace (Stewart) and Dee Bishop (Martin), who are on the run from the law after a botched bank robbery. As they make their way across the desert, they come across a small town and decide to hide out there.
The town is controlled by a ruthless land baron, John Gant (George Kennedy), who has been terrorizing the local population with his hired guns. When the brothers arrive, they quickly become embroiled in the conflict between Gant and the townspeople.
Mace and Dee soon discover that Gant is holding a group of Mexican prisoners against their will, and they join forces with the townspeople in an effort to free them. With the help of a young woman named Maria (Raquel Welch), the brothers lead a daring raid on Gant’s compound.
In the end, Mace and Dee are successful in freeing the prisoners and bringing Gant to justice. However, in the process, Mace is killed. The townspeople honor his memory by building a monument in his honor.
