The film follows the story of Bobby Funke (Reece Thompson), an ambitious and intelligent high school sophomore who is determined to become the next student body president. After a series of mysterious thefts from the school’s faculty lounge, Bobby becomes the prime suspect. With the help of his friend, Paul Moore (Luke Grimes), Bobby sets out to prove his innocence and uncover the real thief.
Meanwhile, a local newspaper editor, Paul Moore’s father, is determined to uncover the truth behind the thefts. He hires a private investigator, Frank D’Amico (Bruce Willis), to help him investigate.
As Bobby and Paul dig deeper into the case, they uncover a conspiracy involving the school’s faculty and the theft of the SAT exams. With the help of Frank, Bobby and Paul must now find the real culprit before the school’s reputation is ruined and Bobby is framed for the crime.
