Synopsis/Plot

Around the World in 80 Days is an adventure-filled comedy based on the classic Jules Verne novel of the same name. The movie follows the journey of English gentleman Phileas Fogg (played by Steve Coogan) and his French valet, Passepartout (played by Jackie Chan), as they attempt to circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days. Along their journey, they encounter numerous obstacles and adversaries, including the beautiful Monique La Roche (Cécile de France) and the dastardly Inspector Fix (Jim Broadbent).

The movie begins with a wager between Fogg and his fellow members of the Reform Club. Fogg bets that he can travel around the world in 80 days, and if he succeeds, he will be rewarded with a hefty sum of money. With Passepartout in tow, Fogg embarks on a journey that takes him from London to Egypt, India, China, Japan, and the United States.
