Synopsis – What to Expect from “Arachnophobia”
Arachnophobia is a 1990 American horror-comedy film directed by Frank Marshall and starring Jeff Daniels and John Goodman.
The movie follows the story of Dr. Ross Jennings (Jeff Daniels), a successful doctor who moves his family from the city to a small town in California. Despite the idyllic setting, Ross soon discovers that the town is home to a population of deadly spiders. The spiders are descendants of a deadly species that was brought back from the Amazon rainforest by a group of entomologists.
The spiders quickly spread throughout the town, and soon the residents are in a state of panic. Ross teams up with local exterminator Delbert McClintock (John Goodman) to find a way to get rid of the spiders. But the spiders are proving to be a formidable foe, and Ross must find a way to stop them before they overrun the town.
Meanwhile, Ross’s son, Jimmy (Scott Terra), is convinced that he is being stalked by a giant spider. With the help of his friend, Mike (Harley Jane Kozak), Jimmy discovers that the giant spider is actually a mutated version of the deadly species. The trio must find a way to stop the spider before it kills everyone in town.
The movie culminates in a thrilling climax as Ross and Delbert battle the giant spider in a showdown that will determine the fate of the town. Will they be able to stop the spider before it’s too late?
