Synopsis/Plot
Another Cinderella Story is a 2008 romantic musical comedy film directed by Damon Santostefano and starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley. The film is a modern retelling of the classic fairytale Cinderella, with Gomez playing the role of Mary Santiago, a high school student and talented dancer who dreams of becoming a professional dancer.
Mary lives with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, who are always trying to keep her from attending her dance classes. She is in love with her best friend, Joey Parker, a popular singer and dancer, but he is unaware of her feelings. When Joey’s record label holds a dance competition to promote his latest single, Mary is determined to compete and win.
With the help of her fairy godmother, Mary is able to attend the competition, but her stepmother and stepsisters are determined to stop her. They sabotage her chances of winning by stealing her dress and shoes, leaving her in rags. Fortunately, a mysterious stranger helps her by giving her a beautiful dress and a pair of glass slippers.
Mary is able to perform a beautiful dance routine and is declared the winner of the competition. Joey finally realizes his feelings for Mary and they share a passionate kiss. In
