Synopsis – What to Expect from “And So It Goes”

And So It Goes is a romantic comedy-drama film released in 2014 and starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. The film follows the story of Oren Little, a selfish and cynical real estate broker who is living an isolated existence in Connecticut. When his estranged son suddenly drops off a granddaughter he never knew he had, Oren’s life is turned upside down. With the help of his neighbor Leah, a kind-hearted lounge singer, Oren slowly learns to open his heart and care for the young girl.

The movie begins with Oren’s son, who he hasn’t seen in years, showing up at his door with a 9-year-old daughter he never knew he had. Oren is uninterested in taking care of the girl, but his neighbor Leah takes her in and helps him to adjust to his new life. Oren and Leah soon develop a close bond, and he begins to open up to her and learn to care for his granddaughter.

Meanwhile, Oren’s son is struggling with his own demons and is trying to make amends with his father. Oren is hesitant to forgive him, but eventually accepts him back into his life. With Leah’s help, Oren and his son are able to reconcile their differences.

The movie culminates in a touching scene where Oren finally realizes the importance of family and learns to open his heart to love. He and Leah share a passionate kiss and it is revealed
