Synopsis – What to Expect from “Anchors Aweigh”
Anchors Aweigh is a 1945 musical comedy starring Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, and Kathryn Grayson. The movie follows two sailors, Joseph Brady (Sinatra) and Clarence Doolittle (Kelly), who are on shore leave in Hollywood. While there, they meet a beautiful aspiring actress named Susan Abbott (Grayson). The two sailors set out to help Susan become a star, enlisting the help of a famous movie producer. Along the way, they get into a series of hijinks and scrapes, including a run-in with a rival suitor. In the end, the two sailors manage to help Susan achieve her dream of becoming a star, and they all live happily ever after.
