Synopsis/Plot
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is a 2004 American comedy film directed by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate. The film is set in the 1970s and follows the story of Ron Burgundy, a legendary anchorman in San Diego, California.
Ron Burgundy is a cocky, chauvinistic, and self-centered news anchor who is the star of the top-rated evening news program in San Diego. He is beloved by the public and respected by his colleagues, but he is threatened when a new female anchor, Veronica Corningstone, is hired to join the team. Ron and Veronica soon find themselves in a battle of the sexes as they strive to be the top news anchor in San Diego.
The film follows Ron and his news team, which includes his loyal friends and co-anchors, Brian Fantana and Champ Kind, as they try to stay on top of the news, while also dealing with the changing times in the 1970s.
