Synopsis/Plot
An Ordinary Man is a 2017 psychological thriller about a war criminal on the run from justice. The film follows the story of General Radovan Gavrilović, a former Bosnian Serb commander who is living in hiding in Belgrade. Gavrilović is haunted by his past, and is desperate to keep his identity a secret.
When a young woman named Tanja discovers Gavrilović’s true identity, she blackmails him into helping her carry out a dangerous mission. Gavrilović must now decide whether to risk his freedom to help Tanja, or to remain in hiding.
An Ordinary Man is a gripping story of betrayal, justice, and redemption. The film stars Ben Kingsley as Gavrilović, Hera Hilmar as Tanja, and Peter Serafinowicz as the mysterious “Mr. Smith”. The film was directed by Brad Silberling, and written by Brad Silberling and David Scarpa.
