Synopsis – What to Expect from “An All Dogs Christmas Carol”
An All Dogs Christmas Carol is a 1998 animated musical fantasy film directed by Larry Leker and Paul Sabella. It is based on Charles Dickens’ classic novella A Christmas Carol. The film follows the story of an old curmudgeonly beagle named Carface (voiced by Ernest Borgnine), who is visited by three Christmas spirits.
The first spirit is the Spirit of Christmas Past (voiced by Sheena Easton), who takes Carface on a journey through his past, showing him how he used to be a kind and generous pup. The second spirit is the Spirit of Christmas Present (voiced by Dom DeLuise), who shows Carface how his selfishness has caused pain and suffering to those around him. The third spirit is the Spirit of Christmas Future (voiced by George Hearn), who shows Carface the consequences of his selfishness and how it will lead to his own demise.
Carface is deeply moved by these visions and decides to change his ways. He apologizes to everyone he has wronged and sets out to help the poor and needy. With the help of his old friend, Charlie Barkin (voiced by Charlie Sheen), Carface sets out to make Christmas a special time for all.
In the end, Carface is rewarded for his newfound generosity and kindness. He is reunited with his long-lost family and his old friend, Charlie. All the dogs of the city come together to celebrate Christmas
