Synopsis/Plot
Amityville II: The Possession is a 1982 horror film directed by Damiano Damiani and starring James Olson, Burt Young, Rutanya Alda, Jack Magner, and Diane Franklin. The film is a sequel to the 1979 hit, The Amityville Horror, and is based on the true story of the DeFeo family who lived in the infamous Amityville house in 1975.
The film follows the Montelli family, who move into the cursed Amityville house and soon find themselves terrorized by a demonic presence. The eldest son Sonny (Magner) is possessed by the spirit of an evil entity that has been dormant in the house for centuries. His behavior becomes increasingly violent and erratic as the spirit takes control of him. As his family struggles to cope with his outbursts and the increasingly strange occurrences in the house, they turn to a priest for help.
The priest is able to exorcise the evil spirit from Sonny, but the family soon realizes that the spirit still remains in the house. In a last-ditch effort to save their family, the Montellis enlist the help of a powerful Native American shaman to break the curse of the Amityville house.
