Synopsis/Plot
Along Came Polly is a 2004 American romantic comedy film starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston. The story follows Reuben Feffer (Stiller), a risk-averse insurance assessor who is thrown into a life-altering situation when his wife, Lisa, cheats on him with a scuba instructor on their honeymoon. Reuben’s life is further complicated when he meets Polly Prince (Aniston), an unpredictable and free-spirited former classmate.
Reuben is a man who likes to play it safe and has a plan for every aspect of his life. But when Lisa cheats on him, his carefully structured life is thrown into chaos. He meets Polly, a wild and carefree woman who is the complete opposite of him. Despite their differences, Reuben and Polly soon find themselves drawn to each other.
Reuben’s friends are concerned about his relationship with Polly. They think she’s too wild and unpredictable for him, and that he should stay away from her. But despite their warnings, Reuben and Polly’s relationship continues to grow. As their relationship develops, Reuben learns to let go of his need for control and starts to embrace the unexpected.
