Synopsis/Plot
Alone in the Dark is a 2005 horror film directed by Uwe Boll and starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid, Stephen Dorff, and Frank C. Turner. The film follows Edward Carnby (Slater), a paranormal investigator who is hired to investigate the mysterious disappearance of four missing people in the New York City area. After uncovering a mysterious artifact, Carnby finds himself in a race against time to save the world from an ancient evil force.
The film begins with Carnby investigating the disappearance of the four people. He soon discovers that the disappearances are connected to an ancient artifact known as The Abkani Tablet, which was discovered in the late 19th century by an archeologist. The tablet contains powerful magic, and Carnby must find a way to break the tablet’s curse before an evil force is unleashed upon the world. However, he soon finds himself in a battle against a powerful cult and their leader, the mysterious Dr. Elsie.
