Synopsis – What to Expect from “Alien Nation”
Alien Nation is a 1988 science fiction film that follows the story of an alien race called the Newcomers who arrive on Earth in search of a new home. The Newcomers, who are humanoid in appearance, are quickly met with hostility from the human population, who fear and distrust them.
The story follows Detective Matthew Sykes, a veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, who is assigned to work with a Newcomer partner, George Francisco, to investigate a string of murders. Sykes is initially hostile towards the Newcomers, but he eventually comes to accept them and develops a strong bond with his partner.
As they investigate the murders, Sykes and Francisco discover that the killer is a human supremacist group that is targeting Newcomers. The group is led by a powerful and influential man who is determined to drive the Newcomers from Earth.
Sykes and Francisco must work together to put a stop to the group’s plans and protect the Newcomers from harm. Along the way, Sykes learns more about the Newcomers and their culture, and begins to understand why they have come to Earth.
The film culminates in a thrilling showdown between Sykes and the human supremacists, as he attempts to protect the Newcomers and their right to a new home on Earth. In the end, Sykes is able to save the day, and the Newcomers are welcomed into the human population.
