Synopsis/Plot

Alice Through the Looking Glass is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film directed by James Bobin, written by Linda Woolverton and produced by Tim Burton. It is based on Lewis Carroll’s novel of the same name and is the sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland.

Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). She discovers that the vengeful Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) has stolen the Hatter’s family and is holding them captive in a mysterious realm known as the Chronosphere. With the help of the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), Alice must travel through time tosave the Hatter and his family before time runs out. Along the way, she encounters friends and foes at every turn including the Mad Hatter’s father, Zanik Hightopp (Rhys Ifans), the persistent Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), and the evil Lord of Time (Toby Jones). With the fate of Underland hanging in the balance, Alice must use her wits and courage to set things right and restore balance between the realms of imagination and reality.
