Synopsis – What to Expect from “Accidentally Engaged”
Accidentally Engaged is a romantic comedy about two complete strangers who find themselves in a strange situation.
Remy (Rachel Boston) is an independent and successful career woman who is content with her life as a singleton. She’s been avoiding the idea of marriage and settling down, but when her grandmother passes away, she discovers that her grandmother’s will states that Remy must be married in order to inherit the family fortune.
Remy is desperate to find a husband, so she turns to her best friend, Pete (Jon Prescott), for help. He suggests that she hire a professional actor to play the part of her fiancé for a day.
Remy takes him up on the offer and hires Matt (David Alpay), an aspiring actor who is down on his luck. Despite the fact that they barely know each other, Remy and Matt have to act like a couple for the day.
The plan goes off without a hitch, and Remy is able to successfully inherit the family fortune. But when Remy and Matt part ways, they both realize that there’s something more between them.
Remy and Matt find themselves drawn to each other despite their differences, and they must decide if they can make their relationship work. With the help of their friends, family, and a few unexpected surprises, Remy and Matt must figure out if their accidental engagement is the real deal.
