The movie follows Edina Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders), an aging fashion publicist, and her best friend Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley), an outrageous magazine editor, as they attempt to stay relevant in the world of fashion and celebrity. After a disastrous PR stunt, Edina and Patsy are blamed for a major incident at a fashionable launch party and are forced to flee the country. With the help of Edina’s long-suffering daughter, Saffron (Julia Sawalha), they embark on a wild adventure that takes them to the glamorous French Riviera, then to the heart of London’s fashionable elite.
As they attempt to evade the law and make their way back home, Edina and Patsy must face their own personal issues and confront the consequences of their outrageous behavior. Along the way, they also discover that friendship is the most important thing in life, no matter how crazy things get.
