Synopsis/Plot
About Last Night is a 2014 romantic comedy-drama film based on the 1986 David Mamet play Sexual Perversity in Chicago. The film stars Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, and Joy Bryant. It follows two couples as they navigate the complexities of modern-day relationships.
Danny (Michael Ealy) and Debbie (Joy Bryant) are two strangers who meet at a bar and hit it off. After a night of drinking, they end up sleeping together. The next morning, they decide to give their relationship a chance. They struggle to make it work, as they both have different ideas of what a relationship should be.
Meanwhile, Danny’s best friend Bernie (Kevin Hart) and Debbie’s friend Joan (Regina Hall) are also beginning to explore their relationship. Bernie is a carefree ladies’ man who is hesitant to commit to Joan, while Joan is an independent businesswoman who is not afraid to speak her mind. As the two couples attempt to navigate their relationships, they must learn to compromise and make sacrifices in order to make their relationships work.
