Synopsis – What to Expect from “A Teacher”
A Teacher follows Claire Wilson (Lindsay Burdge), a young high school teacher who starts a relationship with her student, Eric Walker (Will Brittain).
The film begins with Claire teaching her English class, and Eric is one of her students. Despite their age difference, Claire and Eric begin to develop a strong connection, which leads to them spending time together outside of school. Claire is initially hesitant to pursue a relationship with Eric, but she eventually gives in to her feelings.
Despite the risk of being caught, the two continue to see each other in secret. Eventually, Claire’s husband, Matt (Jonny Mars), begins to suspect something is going on and confronts her. Claire is forced to come clean about her relationship with Eric, and the consequences of her actions start to become more severe.
Claire is suspended from her job, and her relationship with Matt is strained. She is also forced to confront the fact that she is in love with Eric, and must decide whether to continue the relationship or end it for good.
The film follows Claire as she navigates her complicated relationship with Eric, and ultimately must face the consequences of her actions. It is a powerful and emotional story of forbidden love, and the difficult choices that come with it.
