Synopsis – What to Expect from “A Nasty Piece of Work”
A Nasty Piece of Work is a 2019 dark comedy-thriller about a struggling novelist named Ted, who is struggling to make ends meet and to get his latest book published. Desperate for money, Ted agrees to take part in a mysterious and dangerous game orchestrated by a powerful and enigmatic figure known only as “The Director”.
The game is a twisted version of the classic game show, “The Price is Right”. Ted must compete against a series of other contestants for a large cash prize. The rules are simple – guess the correct price of an item and win the prize. But as the game progresses, Ted discovers that the game is rigged and that the Director has an ulterior motive.
He must use his wits and cunning to survive the game and uncover the Director’s true identity. As the game progresses, Ted discovers that the Director is actually a powerful businessman who is using the game to eliminate his competition.
With the help of his friends, Ted must find a way to outwit the Director and win the game. Along the way, Ted learns valuable lessons about friendship, loyalty, and the power of the human spirit. In the end, Ted must decide if winning the game is worth the cost of his soul. Will he be able to make it out alive?
