Synopsis – What to Expect from “A Little Chaos”
A Little Chaos tells the story of Sabine De Barra (Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet), an unlikely candidate chosen by renowned landscape architect André Le Notre (Matthias Schoenaerts) to construct the grand gardens at the Palace of Versailles. As she finds her footing in the court of King Louis XIV, Sabine must navigate the treacherous politics of the court and the unspoken jealousies of its elite, while also dealing with her own personal demons.
The story begins with Sabine being chosen by André to design the gardens of Versailles. She is a widow, and her husband’s death has left her with a deep sense of loss and grief. Despite her lack of experience, André is impressed by her passion and enthusiasm and believes she has the potential to create something truly special.
At the court of Versailles, Sabine quickly finds herself in a new and unfamiliar world. She is faced with the challenge of working with a team of highly skilled and experienced gardeners, while also trying to fit in with the court’s elite. As she struggles to prove her worth, Sabine must also contend with the machinations of the court’s power players, who are determined to see her fail.
As Sabine’s work progresses, she finds herself falling in love with André, and the two share a passionate affair. However, their relationship is complicated by the fact that André is already married
