Synopsis – What to Expect from “A Kiss Before Dying”
A Kiss Before Dying tells the story of Bud Corliss, a young man desperate to be part of the wealthy elite. He meets Dorothy Kingship, the daughter of a wealthy industrialist, and the two quickly fall in love. When Dorothy discovers that Bud is not who he claims to be, he is forced to take desperate measures to keep her from revealing his secret.
Bud concocts a plan to murder Dorothy and make it look like a suicide. He stages the scene to make it appear that Dorothy was despondent over her father’s disapproval of their relationship. With the help of his friend, Bud attempts to cover his tracks and evade suspicion.
Meanwhile, Dorothy’s sister Ellen is determined to uncover the truth behind her sister’s death. She teams up with a police detective to investigate the case and soon discovers that Bud is the prime suspect. As the case progresses, Ellen finds herself in danger as she gets closer to uncovering Bud’s sinister plan.
The film follows Ellen and the detective as they race against time to bring Bud to justice. In a thrilling climax, the truth is finally revealed and Bud is brought to justice for his heinous crime.
