Synopsis/Plot
A Fish Called Wanda is a classic British comedy film released in 1988. It stars John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline, and Michael Palin. The movie follows the story of four criminals who attempt to pull off a diamond heist in London.
The group consists of the suave and sophisticated George Thomason (John Cleese), the American gangster Otto West (Kevin Kline), the British con-artist Wanda Gershwitz (Jamie Lee Curtis), and the dim-witted Ken Pile (Michael Palin). The group successfully steals the diamonds but quickly find themselves in conflict as each one of them has a different plan for what to do with the loot.
The conflict escalates as the group is pursued by the police and the British secret service. To make matters worse, Wanda and Otto begin to fall in love, further complicating the situation.
The movie is filled with hilarious moments as the group is constantly bickering and arguing. The movie also features an iconic performance by Kevin Kline, who won an Academy Award for his role.
