Synopsis/Plot
7 Days in Entebbe is a 2018 historical drama film directed by José Padilha and written by Gregory Burke. The film stars Rosamund Pike, Daniel Brühl, Eddie Marsan, Ben Schnetzer, and Lior Ashkenazi.
The film is based on the true story of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris. After the plane is hijacked by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Revolutionary Cells, the hijackers divert the plane to Entebbe, Uganda, where they demand the release of 40 Palestinian and pro-Palestinian militants held in Israeli prisons.
The story follows the efforts of the Israeli government and military to free the hostages, and the negotiations between the hijackers and the government. The film also focuses on the internal dynamics of the hijackers and their interactions with the hostages.
