Synopsis/Plot
6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain is a 2017 American biographical survival drama film directed by Scott Waugh and written by Madison Turner. The film stars Josh Hartnett as former professional ice hockey player Eric LeMarque, who survived eight days trapped in a blizzard in the Sierra Nevada mountains in 2004.
The film follows Eric LeMarque, a former professional ice hockey player whose life has been spiraling out of control due to his drug and alcohol addiction. He decides to take a snowboarding trip in the Sierra Nevada mountains despite warnings of an impending blizzard. While snowboarding, Eric gets lost and is soon trapped in a fierce blizzard with no supplies or shelter.
With no way to contact the outside world, Eric is forced to rely on his own ingenuity and strength to survive the extreme conditions. He must battle the elements, his own demons, and the very real possibility of death in order to make it out alive.
Throughout his ordeal, Eric finds the courage and faith to keep going, and eventually he is rescued by a search and rescue team. After his rescue, Eric is determined to turn his life around and start anew.
